Who is Mary C?

I am a 50-something, Christian, Libertarian who is married to this guy.

Really Great Husband

He is affectionately known as the RGH (Really Great Husband) but sometimes I change the G to mean something else when he gets on my nerves.

I grew up in a very small town called Arvin – Garden in the Sun. Translation:  small agricultural community that is VERY hot. I have two younger brothers who have kept me laughing for the last 50 years. Laughing is my favorite thing in the world, except for the above mentioned RGH.

The RGH and I have 3 grown daughters, two son-in-laws, 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. The ‘kids’ do not live nearby and the RGH has to work away from home a good deal of the time. I must find alternative ways to entertain myself. We live in Las Vegas now, and while there is not a lack of things to do, most of it isn’t the kind of thing I want to do without my handsome husband.

I like to make stuff. Artsy stuff.  I like to cook for people who like to eat. I like to read. I like to talk. I like good music. I like cats.

I believe God made us all perfectly imperfect. I think we all have a reason to be here. I don’t believe that we lose our purpose when our children grow up and go out on their own.

I am not sure what my purpose is now, but I am working on it. I hope to someday have it all figured out.
